Research interests

I am conducting a PhD project focused on the phylogenetics and taxonomy of Polycarpaea and other closely related genera in the family Caryophyllaceae. I aim to integrate morphological and molecular data to clarify genus- and species-level boundaries. I also aim to investigate their diversity of photosynthetic pathways (C₃, C₄, CAM) and biogeographical patterns, including adaptive radiations in selected regions.
