Phylogeny, systematics and Biogeography of Afrotropical lineages

Tropical Africa is among the most diverse places on earth. However, its biodiversity is still poorly known. The generic and species limit taxonomic groups of most species still rely solely on morphology. Beside morphological data, phylogenomic data will be used to resolve phylogenetic relations and further answer other evolutionary questions such as, when and where did these lineages originate and how did past climatic changes shaped their present distributions.
