Biology of dinophytes
Dinophytes are fascinating unicellular algae with great ecological and economic importance. We infer the evolution of dinophytes using morphological and molecular data. Numerous strains of dinophytes are currently cultivated in the group and are available as material for molecular work or for examination in light and scanning electron microscopes. The results of the investigations of sequence data are to be placed in a phylogenetic context.
